I used to have a CJ5 with a 25 gallon fuel cell that looked identical to the way they have that routed and it looks like the fuel filler is right behind the seat on the passenger exterior so that would be my guess as well. I just wish the FJ stood out a little more in a crowd than that one

That was quick. Not surprised though. It was a totally stock '79, unmolested with only mild crust, original owner for 7k.
