I've always wanted a 4wd Toyota Van.

60 series are pretty well qualified in the same category. In my opinion, of course.

I agree, I think the 60 is perfect for what I do with it. Love the cargo room, all the windows. But I just think those vans are so bizarre, in a good way!

I can't imagine anything better for visibility than a cab forward van. That thing would either be your wishes coming true or worst nightmare on a shelf road. Either way you will know exactly where your tires are. Plus that one is a raised roof with those corner windows. It would be like Steve's youth riding on the observation cars of the steam locomotives.

Almost correct, diesel breath! In 1953, at the tender age of three, my family moved to CA aboard the A,T&SF Super Chief and I do remember entering the observation car. I might as well have been riding in a space capsule headed to the moon, the view was so otherworldly in the elevated, glass enclosed car. No steam engine smoke to obscure the view, either. :thumb:

Turns out one of my good friends bought this beauty. Be on the lookout for him on this forum. He is one of the owners of Liquid Mechanics Brewery and a World Class mountain biker...so we will all be glad to see him join up!

I know he's looking for help on his "new" cruiser, so maybe some "wrenching for Great Beer" might be in order? :)

EDIT: This was the RED FJ62

Great brewery and one I frequent, now I’ll get to drool over it.

Anyone willing to go check out a topper for me? I'm not having luck finding anything used out here in the corn, and would road trip out and pick up if I could procure something in Denver.

Is this Yota Yard?

I need something that fits my '91 pickup. 60x76 looking for white fiberglass.

Along with 79-95, anything on a 1st gen Taco will fit your truck. The only thing to watch with fiberglass toppers is if they are highly stylized and designed for a regular cab the profile may not completely jive with an XtraCab. For the most part toppers are made to fit XtraCab trucks, though.

The phone number they list is for Jim's.

FWIW, I'd try to get a mid height or tall roof. I had a pretty nice ATC on Donna and miss having the head room when the 'Nest is in topper mode. You're of the age now where the grandpa look shouldn't concern you and the utility is worth it.

Also let me know if they don't include clamps. I have tons of regular rail clamps you can have. If we can coordinate I'd love to drive over and kick tires with you.
