From the ad:

No Expense Spared Restored and Modified 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80 with Factory Locking Diffs and added ARB Lockers. This truck was restored by Legacy Classic Trucks in 2015 and we have receipts for over $90,000 from Legacy Classic Trucks and there have also been numerous additions that bring the total over $100,000. BODY: This Land Cruiser started out as a clean Arizona truck with no rust. It was completely disassembled and stripped to bare steel, epoxy coated, and repainted FJ Army Green. The paint is still beautiful and the truck has around 17,519 miles on it since being built so there will be some minor stone chips and the like from driving. EXTERIOR: The exterior of this rig has ARB Front Winch Bumper with Warn 8,000 Pound Winch, Custom Rear Bumper, Slee Rock Sliders, and Rigid Fog Lights. Up top it has the ARB full Roof Rack with capability to add rooftop tent. Floor was added to roof rack so you can put a hammock or chair up there and relax.. Attached to the Roof rack is a Hi-Lift jack in case you get a flat when off road and Road Shower System on the back that can be pressurized to spray you or your gear off. INTERIOR: The interior was completely gutted and replaced with everything new. That includes carpet, leather seats, leather headliner, dash, steering wheel, Dakota gauges. The 3rd row was also redone but removed to put in the Outback Solutions lockable drawer system which cost over $1,000. Very nice to have for storage when Over-landing. 3rd Row Seats are available if you want them. Upgraded Stereo System with navigation and Satellite Radio. The Land Tank Seat Extension was also added to give the driver needed leg room (Very Comfy). SUSPENSION: Suspension is an Deluxe Old Man Emu 2 Inch Lift with Nitro Shocks which is the only way to go. New Bushings were added and this beauty rides smooth. DRIVETRAIN: The entire drivetrain was removed and customized to give this heavy beast the power it deserves. The Inline 6 Cylinder was removed and replaced with a GM L92 6.2L Vortec with over 400HP from the factory. Factory HP was around 408, but this was tuned to give 10-20HP more. It has Hooker headers and Custom Exhaust and the hood was given vents to keep it running cool. The engine had around 30,000 miles on it when installed and you add the 17,519 on the build and this drivetrain has under 50,000 miles on it. The Transmission is the 4L70e and it has the same miles and works perfectly with this engine. The transfer case was rebuilt and it is a super tough FJ60 Transfer case. Factory Axles were also rebuilt. SUMMARY: For the last 3-4 years this truck has been babied and cared for by the previous owner. It has been over the Continental divide, driven on 2500 mile fishing trips and it is a great Rig. It is ready to roll for the next owner. Obviously to build this truck this way would cost over $100,000 and you will have the only one like it. This thing gets Thumbs Up everywhere it goes. Everything works including the Ice Cold AC and Rear Heat. You won't find another one like it.

How can you spend $100,000 on a truck that you're selling for $40,000? Who has $60,000 to throw away?

Not sure if that last post was for the 2001 LX but I had him take it off. Who is interested in the truck bc I told him it would be best in the hands of a rising sun member vs a commoner.

That M12000 is still for sale. Seems like a killer deal! Without talking to the guy, anybody suspect why it's still for sale? Any red flags going off to someone better in the know than I?
I think it's because it's not an M12000. That is actually an MX6085. The label on those is confusing since it states 6,000 lbs single line or 12,000 lbs double line.

I would rather buy that than a new 4runner. Pretty nice looking rig. For that money it better have emissions hooked up.

Someone should buy this and Mike’s. We have the technology to rebuild these!

What’s the eBay one worth?? Any body have an estimate of reserve?

the reserve is likely very high
its been on ebay at least 2 times prior to this latest listing with bidding somewhere around 18k and unmet reserve.
the above links are the discernible recent information on that particular lv
