I've never heard of a Comeup Winch...that doesn't mean anything, but in discussions about winch options, not once has the name Comeup been mentioned...

Look at this thread if you're thinking about a winch...

Slee only sells Warn and Comeup, so they must be pretty decent if they sell them. I have no personal experience with Comeup just an observation.

ComeUp has been getting some attention on MUD, seem to be a good unit, around since 1975. I know Jackson ended up with a ComeUp on his 200. If that winch is the DV-9 then $600 is the retail price that Slee is asking. If it's one of the others then it's $200-$300 off retail.

I think I read somewhere that ComeUp is a economy version of Warn.

No I don’t think so. Their winches aren’t much cheaper and they are built way different.

I don't have any experience with it, since the truck is still being put together, but I bought a Comeup 12.5RS for my HZJ60. Dad bought a smaller one for his Tacoma.

Even though we haven't had to use them at all, I'm impressed with the build quality.

Come up winches are pretty good. That's what they used on top gear to pull the Land Rover up the dam

That's messed up. I'm sure he stole that truck and now is flipping it for huge profit. Poor kids got graped.

I bet that sells for some serious coin! Did you guys see the one Overton recently flipped on BaT? I think it was a FST '69 in original condition. He snagged it for $20K and then flipped it for $50K.

I'll never own a 40 again. :(

This one was on Desmoines craigslist a year or two ago for $15K obo. it got snatched up by this guy and he's been flying it on CL for $35K ever since:

Seriously though, what is it worth to you to be able to complete the engine break-in of a new FJ40? Dang.

Apparently this much or more to somebody: "Current Bid USD $84,000"
