Does anyone have a photo of the underside of the hood? There should be an emissions control sticker either on the upper left or upper right. Does it indicate that it's a California spec or a Federal (49 state) spec emissions equipped truck?

The emissions sticker isn’t on there anymore only this hose routing sticker

I called Toyota customer service with the VIN and they said they don’t have access to that info which I have trouble believing
If you want the vin I can send it to you (?)

@simps80 would you mind sending me the VIN? I'll see if I can pull some info on it.

The emissions sticker missing might be problematic for me. My old truck gave the smog guys fits the first time I smogged it in Cali because the sticker was completely covered with mud. They told me initially that I needed to go to a junkyard and find a hood from the exact same year of truck because that sticker was so important 😂

Tell us more about the 3.4 92!

My son and I took on this swap two summers ago. Replaced the "3.slow" and with a 99 T4R 3.4 and its like night and day difference. The swap wasn't too bad either. There is a ton of info on-line and venders that specialize in the harness and the exhaust cross pipe that almost made it plug and play. I did not do a build thread (I'm really terrible about that).

Mike, obviously don't hold this for me as others are interested but I'd like to chat with you about drivability. I'll call you in a bit.

Had a potential buyer here today
Went for a drive and the mother load of all death wobbles happened on the test drive

Thank God I was driving….
