Which switch is it? When you push it in does it click and unclick if you push it again?

This one appears to be a momentary one, no click. Is yours different?

Thus the need for the relay!

I have a boatload of stuff coming from Mot and didn't know there was a different version. If there was a reason to get the click style I don't know what it is at this time... UB, need anything from Japan? We found the "deluxe" model stubby visors with the lights/mirrors that should be available in oak. I know they are available in grey.

Now do I go with the compass or the altimeter? Decisions, decisions...

Compass. Knowing how high you are is probably less important than direction. :lmao:

Mine is like yours, but I had the click type earlier. IIRC ours is from diesel Aux set ups and the click is petrol.

I believe the compass is a PITA to install as it needs the probe in the grill. Where did you score the overhead console?

He can prolly handle it.

Still sourcing parts but I was hoping to get all that from Japan if you didn't have any laying around.

This is the magnetic field sensor needed for the compass

Mike, if you can get the overhead console and stubby visors from Japan (in Oak), I would like to buy a set too.

x2! I would take the console in gray also as it can be color matched by plastic paint pretty well I have concluded from Mud banter.

Ok, the pre 95 center console is available in tan but needs 'trimming' to fit...no idea. Post '95 is available in grey and could be painted. I can get the delux stubby visors in grey but NOT in tan. All y'all oak lovers are out as the world supply has been exhausted. There is no such thing as a junk yard in Japan and the Australians love their poverty pack options. Put a vanity mirror in an Australian rig and I guess you get laughed at. I bet you could stain a grey one tan but they are a few hundred each so you had better have a bigger pair than me. The compass is doable but needs to be mounted mid ship and magneticly shielded with shielded wires. I'll have to check that out, not sure why it needs to be above the headliner in the middle...
