I am so glad you got to head down to the Island to camp.
I appreciated your stories about your Grandpa and I hope that the island was good for your soul and filled with fond memories of him.

Already dreaming of the Badlands...

Act 2:
One of the shorter drives we've had to get to camp. 1hr maybe? Left our Grand Island Camp for another on the Power Plant Road. An old Town, A float and Jackson catching some cat fish. Kid Curry's old hid out and back out to Hay's.
Taking the two track back out to the main road for the North Eastern section of the River Breaks. Rest of the group would be waiting for us at the Power Plant Road.
Little Rockies in the distance.
Further down into the coulee along the Power Plant Rd. We didn't get this far the last time due to the flood's of 2011.
Following along the river for a bit before we got to camp.

A dusty hood.
The old town at the end of the Power Plant Road. A ferry operated here back in the day. Quite a few ferry's operated on the Missouri at one time, now only three remain.

Even got a game of bball in before leaving. Though I don't think we'd be winning any state championships...
