And, your thoughts?

Never turn on your flashlight when searching a cornfield at night.......

Reminds me of a trip I took wandering across NM, TX to LA, up through TN, MO and back home. I spent a couple of days in Amarillo at Palo Duro state park (110% worth seeing!).

I rode the trails in the morning. You had to on account of the ridiculous humidity and heat (Missouri's nothing compared to west Texas in the summer). We had the occasional 90/90 day. They cool down to 100° and 100% in June.

If you're the first out and there's no reliable dawn patrol ahead of you. Do NOT ride with your mouth open. It was overwhelming. And I kinda like spiders.

My '03 Land Cruiser has the ball cooler feature and it is wonderful. Not as cool and funky as 40 kick vents but having A/C in that vital area can be a godsend. (y)
