Maze Run 2011, Nov. 9-13

Maze crew,

Sadly, i'm gonna have to bail out this time around. Being so close to the Outlaws trip and me needing to focus in on saving to get some work/tires done to the truck, just don't think I can swing the time for the trip.

Sounding like another awesome trip and look forward to the pics.

I am still planning on leaving Wed at the crack of noon so I'll be pulling through moab at sunset. I am going to try to get some kind of a half day in and work from the road the rest of the way. All I gotta figure out is what T Shirt I'm gonna wear since the truck is coming along nicely.

Sounds like it's gonna be Me Convert and Matt Driving so we'll have a nice contingency.

I want to download the right mpas. I know where E Hill, Canyopn lands, the maze trail, white canyon are. When I do a search on Devils kitchen, I come up with a spot No of I-70 about wher I-15 is. Is that correct?

Devils Kitchen is inside Canyonlands. You will find it west of the southern entrance, Newpaper Rock and Elephant Hill. It is south-southeast of the Confluence.

Devil's Kitchen is about 15-20 minutes from the features at the beginning of the Elephant Hill trail. Maybe longer can't remember exactly..

Yeah If you have E-Hill then you'll have Devil's Kitchen.

You take a left and there it is. In fact when we camped there last time, we ended up walking back to the Squeeze just to check it out.. wasn't even a full to get there. In fact we later discovered a bunch of caves & cracks that allowed us to essentially slither all the way back to camp from there.

Right now, I'm 8am from central Denver on Wed. Might go Tues, but have not confirmed that yet.

We may want to edit that post to show who is bringing what for cooking/food as well.

I got a cool windshield mount for my Garmin HCx and worked on a track of our route today.

I also got a ton of maps from the map store in boulder (which rocks).

They had every map you could ever want...
