Hi, I am from the Salt Lake City area and am looking for an LX470. My son ran a red light and wrecked my '01 LX470 back in February - (nobody was hurt!). On Facebook marketplace, I have my search radius set to 500 miles and so I regularly see 100 series from the Denver area. I have been talking to a guy about his LX in Arvada, but before I drive the 7.5hrs to look at it, I wonder if I can pay someone to go look at it and give me a rundown of any problems and take some pictures. For example, I asked the guy in Arvada to take a picture of the CV boots. It took a few tries, and I finally was able to get pics of the outer CV boots. I would like to also get pics of the upper/lower ball joints, inner CV boot, inner/outer tie rod boots. Anyway, just wondering if anyone that is familiar with 100 series would be interested in getting paid to check it out for me. I don't know what a good rate is - $150?

Thank you for letting me ask this question in your forum. I went to Cruise Moab in 2019 so maybe I met some of you!

IMHO this is the most overlooked place to look for rust. You need to get under and look back towards the bumper. That plastic hides a lot.
