Had a great time. This was my first CM (not my first time in Moab though) and was blown away with the people and quality of the entire event. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to put this on.

Now on to the pics:

Great event. Thanks to Neil, Christo, Tom and Randy for leading/gunning the trails I was on. My friend Matt (driving my 4Runner, below) took a ton of photos. Here are a few from Behind the Rocks on Friday:

That was a good time. I pushed it pretty hard again. 9 trails in 4 days. Thanks goodness I didn't flip the JadeRunner on several occasions. My calf is sore on my right leg from accelerator action. Might take it a little more easy next time. Perhaps some more hiking and remote camping before the event.

Did something ? :dunno::gaah::scold:
No details ? What did he do? it is Tom were talking about so just about anything goes. I bet all he did was scratch his paint on the diamonds lol

The rear diff that was missing 3 teeth grenaded on Kane Creek. We pulled the driveshaft and the floater axles. He drove it out in front wheel drive mode with a little help from Ray's 40 on a few of the tougher spots. Fortunately he had his new diff back at camp and we swapped it out that evening.

He sheared off all of the studs and pins between the wheel hub and locking hub on Behind the Rocks. We were able to drill/EZ out the broken stud ends and replace them. The pins are hardened steel so we couldn't do anything with them. He drove the rest of the week on this setup with no additional breakage.

For the record, not very responsible or considerate of other trail people going into a trail with a knowingly compromised truck.

It's my understanding he had several experienced people who looked at it who said they thought it was safe to run. Maybe they were just chipped versus totally broken off.
