Skirt bolts. Next, waiting for the flange bolts to replace the outer ones.

PS. I've discovered the arrow shape in the Photos app of iOS. Expect more arrows in subsequent pics.

Maybe don’t sell parts that aren’t correctly measured, just a thought and I’m absolutely not amused. Kinda pissed off that I’ve spent money on an inferior product design.

...and for that price I would expect absolute perfection too. Arghhh.

I just got off the phone with him. I'm annoyed that I have to go out of my way to fix something that was meant to be bolt-on, so I'll ask someone local to relocate the latch, tig weld, then send it back to their shop for re-powder coating. He's nice enough to reimburse the cost. I get that there is a QC issue, but I don't want to be part of that convo.

@timmbuck2 told me to get my act together and finish the rig so I can join them on the 60 run, project planning all the interior work now, trying to figure out headliner color since I get one shot at it.

Meanwhile, found the grommets for the rocker panel. Also, those holes, they need plugs. Before I plugged them, I used the compressor to blow out stuff, about 10lbs of sandblast media. Very important things.

Installed the driver's side quarter panel emblem.

I should get those grommets. Since that area is rust prone, I sprayed a bunch of fluid film in mine when I did the interior of the frame.

I have nothing to do but wait for the jute padding/headliner material and samples. I was tempted to pawn it off to a shop to do the work, but that turns out to be way expensive, so I'm doing it myself, which means it'll either look good or bad and will likely take me longer than it should. Labor has gotten way too expensive; they want $4-$5K for the whole thing, even though I'm supplying the material. I suppose, they see a restored rig, and it's an automatic "this guy wears a nice watch, has a fancy rig, he's got money" approach. 🤷‍♂️

I'm also at a point where I get annoyed by the lack of quality (e.g., the paint job or the 5th-wheel mount), so I'd rather do it myself and not have anyone else to blame or get upset over the money spent on subpar work. Apparently, those thousands of dollars don't stretch as far as they used to go.

Carpet is less of a concern; the headliner requires more work, including removing the windshield and quarter panel windows. If anyone has done interior work, please send tips.

Meanwhile, I learned I need two buckles for the strap.
