Popped in the shop to see the progress. After about 14 hours of work, it's as good as done; they've moved on to stripping the paint on the roof elsewhere.

I went and picked up the hardware for the door stuff, going to zinc-plate them to see if I can make them shiny.

Sandblasting without the proper setup is PITA. I set up a tent in the garage and went at it, lots of dust, the media remained in the tent, so I can sweep. Have I told you IH8RUST? Lots and lots of prep work to get the parts ready for the zinc plating. I'm hoping it won't turn into a disaster, requires a non-trivial amount of prep and setup.

Spent the majority of the weekend learning how to properly mix and paint with this puppy. The rattler can paint on the brackets, chipped off way too easily, so I ended up redoing it all. Switched over to the Eastwood Chassis Satin black, requires way more work since I had to sandblast, use proper epoxy, and then the urethane coat. Got all the parts primed, waiting for them to cure (2-3 days) before I can sand and coat them with the final. The gun is awesome. I don't have a benchmark, but it's awesome, way more consistent.

As always, available for work. I think.

You know what? The internet has become useless. What was an easy task is now bombarded with a ton of fake ads, non-routable websites, inaccurate search results, and a series of AI-driven slop. The shop owner gave me this, and it has practically everything that I've been attempting to find.

It took all day to do these and I still have to do the hood and hatch hinges. Some came out a bit chalky, unsure what I’m doing wrong, guessing +/- current issues. Anyway, I’m tired.

Still in the garage. Had to add fish tank aerator because bubbles work better somehow. It’s getting more complicated by the minute.

First off, so shiny and glowy. I went and looked at it since JR sent me the pictures earlier. Dropped off the plated hardware and walked into the paint booth to see the progress, and what a progress they've made.

Fantastic progress, I’m finishing up my 78 F150 and your assessment couldn’t be more correct. Any sort of information search takes 30 extra minutes wading through the garbage.

Looking good! Looks like rhino lining on floors? Curious why with carpet?

Not quite the same material, but just as durable, I forgot what it's called. The fenders are also getting the same in black, which means I did all the work for nothing. The rationale is foremost rust prevention, and my unscientific, unqualified understanding is that the texture can damp road noise to some extent. If I recall, we have a musician engineer amongst us, maybe he can chime in :)

On the note of the floor, I'm going with ResoNix CLD.
