Thanks Dwight. I will take you up on that. I won't get a chance to play with putting the booster on till after next week, so I will need to borrow it for a couple of weeks if I grab it sooner, or need to come get it after next week. Your call on that.

Another question. What tool is best for turning the nut on the bottom of the rod to adjust? Or am i just adjusting the acorn nut on the top up or down?

Not sure this is the correct pic, since I pulled it from Mud, but it looks right.

I cant remember exactly what I did, but I think theres a thread on mud about how to adjust it. I didnt have to adjust mine when I checked it.

I have been looking all over Mud and haven't found anything that really explains how to actually move the shaft. UGH. I'll keep looking.

Sorry just seeing the renewed action to this thread. Yah I could ship the tool but looks like that part is covered.

I just used a box wrench and set of pliers to adjust the pushrod. The tool makes it pretty easy to get it right the first time. Height instructions in FSM. Used a feeler gauge to measure.

the real fun is removing the old booster. Installing the new goes much easier after you figure out the right combination of pull, twist, angle, twist, pull and out.

Yeah, I have watched a few videos on the R&R and that looks to the be the case. 10 minutes out, 2 minutes in.

Like mentioned, just use vice grips to grab the nut on bottom if needed, and a box wrench to turn the rod. You can have someone press the brake to get better access to the nut and rod for adjusting purposes.

The way I have always adjusted it:
1) adjust the booster rod out to where you know it will make contact with the master
2) while the master is not hooked up to anything, gently by hand only place it up flush to the booster
3) if it cannot be easily pushed flush, then the rod is too far out and needs to be adjusted in increments inward until the master can be pushed on flush
4) once it is easily placed on the booster and the rod is no longer preventing you from making it flush, then you can bolt down the master
