@DomOfTheDead Put me down as a yes.

Grand Vista booked. Time for cheap drinks and making fun of karaoke singers.

We are setting up another trail leader training class for the 2024 Cruise Moab event. Cruise Moab needs volunteers for trail leaders during the event and this is the best training opportunity for anyone interested in helping out. This class will be taught by Bill Burke and Chris Nelson. Bill is a renowned guide and recovery expert, Chris is a I4WDTA master trainer. Both gentlemen provide training for major automotive manufacturers and government agencies so it awesome that they take time to help our club and event. Priority students are those leading trails at Cruise Moab 2024, a $50 reimbursement to the trainees for each trail they lead at Cruise Moab that year. This is open to Rising Sun members and non members alike.

When: March 9 & 10 2024
Where: Grand Junction, CO
What this class covers: dynamics of on trail group management, emphasis on tread lightly principles with the delicate ecosystem of the Moab area, spotting signaling and communication, first aid basics and many other topics relating to our event.

Update:
Class cost is $2000 total for both days. 20 students = $100 per person, 15 students = $134, ect.
20 students max.
Lodging in Grand junction is recommended

Unfortunately I have to count myself out on this awesome training opportunity. Sorry. @DomOfTheDead please take me off the list.

A few family matters, plus donating PTO to a hospitalized coworker, plus a few other plans had/will burn my PTO.

Hope y'all pick up a lot of knowledge and fun 😁

Hi Dom,
Could my friend sign up for the class also? He often rides with me at CM and is a Master Mechanic for Land Rover for 27 years. A handy guy to have around when a truck stops working. He is also gravitating to getting an 80 series. His name is Jeff Nelson.
Thanks,
Michael

I’m going see how much work I can get done on my truck in the next few weeks and try to make this if there is still room.

I’d love to participate in this! Is this a classroom thing, outdoor training on a trail, both?
both, part of each day is classroom and part is field work

Well, still interested. I’d love to lead or tail gun a trail or trails for cruise Moab. If this is something I should attend to do so, sign me up.
If you would like to lead at CM this class is highly recommended along with the pre run 🥰
