I had a set laying around. Honestly the trailer is hard on them. I've already had to replace one, with the other cracking now. There is no direct fitment of course. I took a set originally ordered for my 80 and fabricated the mounting solution. I think I need to weld in a pad on the frame for them to contact more cleanly. The actual Timbrens are mounted inverted on top of the axle verse the standard frame mount layout. Other than converting it to 12v LED lights this is by far the best mod I've done to the trailer to date.

what about using something like a car/truck spring in there in addition to the leafs? would that work or make it super wonky and handle like crap?I had a set laying around. I suppose anything is possible. The Timbrens work great. Just need a larger contact patch than the skinny frame rail so they deform less when compressed.
Bucked up about 150 rounds today. My arms are tired.

All of my lawn equipment is Stihl. Blower/vacuum, hedge trimmer, edger, lawnmower (battery). I've been seriously considering a chainsaw for the trails but I've not needed one yet and I don't have anything to cut for my home usage. It does seem like cheap insurance and would be useful for cutting some firewood. I'm looking at the MS 251 Stihl. It's quite a bit of cargo space in the case, though. Decisions, decisions. Maybe a rope on a tree to pull it back off the trail might work as an interim solution until I make up my mind. What I worry about is when that wind picks up and a tree or two coming down across the trail.

A battery saw is definitely the play for a trail/truck saw.

I forgot to update this thread with my new saw. A neighbor of mine helped me get about 100 trees that had active beetle infestation off my property. He is a professional cutter who used to run the BV prison fire fighting team back in the day. Both of his kids are currently wildland fighters for the service. Total bad asses.
Anyway, for all of his help over the past three years with beetle trees, I gifted him the 500i and I purchased a Stihl 400. I absolutely LOVE this saw!!! It is about the same weight as a 362 which was my issue with the 500i and wrap handle. Over a day of cutting the 500i would absolutely wear me out. In fact, I couldn’t even cut all day with it. The 400 is the sweet spot. Light (with light bar) and it absolutely screams compared to similarly weighted saws. It’s definitely not as powerful as the 500i, but I can get more work done in a day with it just because I don’t have to stop to rest as much and can go longer.
25” bar is perfect balance on this Stihl MS400C-M Pro saw!
First and second pic is the 500i and my neighbor. The last pic is my CS-590 Echo which is an awesome saw if you’re looking for affordable! Muffler mod and tuned it does very well in pine trees!
