Hey, just stumbled on this thread! I'll add my bit: just got a heck of a deal this week on a Dolmar 510: 20 bucks and a pair of mule deer sheds. Seller thought it was broken. Just needed fresh gas and a few pulls. This is the smoothest saw I've ever ran, and super powerful for 50cc. Dolmar is a German brand that never quite took off in the US. I also run a Stihl 064 that I traded a couple hundred rounds of .308 for, and a little Husqvarna 435 for small jobs. I rebuilt the 064 and have replaced a lot of parts with NOS stuff. Now I have the Stihl bug, and I'm on the lookout for a project 044/440 or 046/460. Anyone got a broken one laying around?

Since.i last posted.in here, i bought an electric stihl. Not the lowest grade, but only one up. Would.def do it again. I've cut stuff I'm not.supposed to with no issues. Tree too big for the bar, no problem...cut around the trunk. Still.havent even charged it. Nice to grab it off the shelf and go cut stuff and put it back on the shelf.

Well, now I've gone off the deep end. I posted a
local ad a couple months back stating that I work on/buy/sell chainsaws and now I've acquired these super cool retro saws, among others. Poulan 306a, Homelite Super XL, McCulloch Pro Mac 10-10 and Mini Mac 35, and Stihl 026. I also cleaned the frick out of my 064 and bought some parts for it. Still looking for an 044. I have flipped quite a few over the last few months: a few stihls, husqvarnas, and Dolmars. If you guys need saw work, I can probably do it for you.
