BIG thanks to Simpson (and his wife) for the late nights, tons of help, dinner, and for the use of your garage.

I am still grinning from getting the 40 back on the road. In the spirit, let's see if I can take us back to 1964.

I scanned a few of the factory literature and magazines I have with early corrugated hard tops. The 1962s seems to have the stamped bezels, early curved bumper, Fj25 style gas filler/cap, and the extra long B pillars. In 1963, they went to the standard bumper and the standard B pillar. In 1964 we lost the stamped bezel.

I went to the archives and decided gray rims started in 1970 so these will be powder coated black. Tires on a 1964 should be Dunlop RK3 7.60x15 (even though the literature shows 7.50) but.... they are not available in a 15" rim anymore. Because of that, I am going to roll with some Firestone NDT bias ply 7.00x15s. I put a tape on a NOS Dunlop RK3 and was surprised it measures 29" x 6.25"

After thorough internet research....
Firestone NDT

Here is the difference between the Goodyear and Firestone
