I'll probably fix the old one at some point. They drilled a hole through it and smashed a few of the ribs. As far as I can tell, all the factory hard tops came with the step.

Up through what year?

1984 according to the literature. In the U.S. I would say at least 1979. The U.S. ads released for 1980-83 Land Cruisers don't show the step but the French and German ads all have it pictured. The one I put on my '64 was off a Troopie.

I found the one downside to tall skinnies!

Action shot from after the camp out on 40's only. I've got more, but for some reason I can only upload one pic at a time from my phone. The pic doesn't do the setting justice, as it was steeper, & the rocks were bigger....

I specifically remember two people being scared & saying it was the largest, scariest obstacle they had ever done. :)

This was posted on another forum - supposedly taken during original field testing. Thought you'd enjoy, Mike!

Power to spare? Good one! Room for seven as well - who needs a wagon? Not a dedicated 40 guy, fer sure. Gotta love the Telluride phone number too!
Hey Mike, the trailer decking still look so shiny? For all the man hours spent on that job, it should last a lifetime. :thumb: What was the name of the finish?
