I think this is a great idea. The snow run is usually a day of constant recovery where everyone gets a chance to recover or get recovered. Safe practices for both the people and vehicles is paramount. I enjoy seeing how far I can go before I can go no more and am usually exhausted by the end of the day. If I were to sustain damage to myself or vehicle, it would not be a good day. If I get pulled out a dozen times with no damage, then I usually have a grin on my face for the next week!if you're game demonstrate some recovery techniques
No damage + no injuries + no drama = good day! I'll bring my get stuck face and a bunch of shovelsI think this is a great idea. That report is a great blast from the past. I thought I was back on MySpace for a secondIt's always a fun one. I went on my first one in January 2000, led by Uncle Ben. Trail Report here.
Recovery points on your rig, kinetic rope, soft shackles, steel bow shackles. Of course, these are only good to recover someone or be recovered by someone. In there like swimwear!
What would you all say is a good starting point for recovery gear? The 4/5/6 most necessary pieces?
We will spend a little time talking about this if you stick around to chat with me and the Colorado 4x4 Rescue & Recovery folks. There is a lot of gear out there, but a lot of it I would not recommend - the more you know before you buy, the happier you will be in the long run. Buy once cry once. And get some trainingIn there like swimwear!

I will be taking full advantage of the opportunity to stick around and learn. My own experiences in construction and rigging provide a firm foundation, but the physics are different on the ground. Great points. Buy junk gear, people and rigs can get damaged. Use it wrong, people and rigs get damaged. We will spend a little time talking about this if you stick around to chat with me and the Colorado 4x4 Rescue & Recovery folks.
