Does anybody else think vehicle design is trending toward Hot Wheels?

Missed the mark.... Removable top should have become a thing to compete with Bronco and Jeep

I'm not sure which I like better. The new 4Runner seems awesome.

I'm even more curious now to see what the real difference is between this and the 250. Same chassis, drivetrain(albeit some more options with the 4runner). Hopefully the LC is just over engineered in most every other aspect to justify its track record of reliability and heftier price tag.

I was surprised to see the same 112.2” wheelbase. So it will be interesting to see how Toyota markets this against the 250. Comparably equipped I can’t see the price being much different. 5” more cabin height in the 250 indicates a much more comfortable seating position IMHO. That is something I’ve never liked about Tacoma/4R. I’m still a 250 buyer based on these initial videos. I also like the styling better of the 250.

I can't keep up with these new Toyotas anymore. All look about the same to me.

Just give me a 300 and quit messing around.

For me the big difference will be where it is built. One of the reasons I bought my wife a 5th gen is because I was hearing that the 6th gen would no longer be built in Japan. Only time will tell. Hard to beat the build quality that comes out of Japan.

That was exactly my thought.

IMHO
Cons
Dually hips for big tires
C pillar blind spot
Rear seats don’t fold flat with floor
Is the 14” big screen TV 4k?
Pros
Interior looks well laid out, lots of USB plugs, retains the roll down rear window something I love about 4 runners
Eight speed trans
hybrid motor

Both the front and rear bumpers look hard to replace with anything aftermarket.

The GX 550 with a flat rear floor and turbo v6 (assuming that engine holds up) seems obvious to me, but I won't be buying any of these new...

From what I have seen so far, looks like almost the same vehicle as a Tacoma, just different body

So you can pick a Truck or an SUV with essentially the same features and approximate price range. At least that is my take on it.
