Jack-it Night: April 2024 RS Meeting
Hey Guest: Wed. April 3rd is the next Rising Sun meeting, and you won't want to miss it. We're doing our annual offroad recovery equipment demonstration and trail skills training aka "Jack It Night." Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. (early) Click here for all the details.
Wow, that filled up fast. Awesome and thanks guys!
I'll update the first post with who responded first etc.
Also wanted to note. Nathaniel ( the Millers in general) were going to be my invited special guest since Nathaniel was the one who got the Ghost Town Run going waaaay back in the day. The Millers had a spot on this years run if there able to make it though that wouldn't affect who would be able to get a spot with the limit I set.
Again, thanks for all the interest! Looking forward to this years run!
Updated first post with who's going. Went above my imposed 12 vehicle limit to try and get most of you guys on there. We'll figure out the details later.
If there is room, put me on the list. This area is where the family cabin is. It's my stomping grounds growing up. If you need any info on the area, let me know!!

Well, it looks like I’m not going to make this, as @Hants and I are planning a big ol’ trip across Wyoming and Colorado toward LCDC in Ouray. So, please remove my name.
If the wait list is accurate, @RayRay27 is next in line.
In the mean time, are there .GPX tracks for this run? I’d still be interested in doing with one or more folks on a different set of dates.
For "thoughts or experiences" last summer I marked campsites on the Alder Creek / Pool Table Mountain easy access road into Wheeler Geologic area. About 5 hours of driving from Denver (plus any stops). That's between South Fork and Creede. Wheeler Geologic is remote and worth an entire weekend itself since you want 2-3 hours to hike from the parking area.
That highway between South Fork and Creede is spectacular.
I'm real interested to see the mining district around Creede.
There area also plenty of places we could camp along lower 285 or 160 Thursday night and have less highway Friday AM.
