@J1000 glad to help! Definitely a cool build and you know... I like beer, haha.

Having seen yours come together Saturday and then a day later I get the TLCA Toyota Trails mag in the mail... as I went flipping through it I see an ad for Coastal Offroad (which I hadn't heard of before). I look them up out of curiosity and find they make a similar weld yourself kit for 🌮

I'm very much now probably going to get that now. I'm kinda excited, haha :D

I was considering the Coastal rear also before I chose 4x4Labs. The 100 series version looks a little derpy IMO but the Taco one looks really cool. You know I will be there holding things for you to tack and drinking beer!

Big thanks to @allen.wrench for helping me lift and grind metal and drink beers.
Looking awesome Jimmy!, I built my 4x4 labs from the kit also if you have any questions or need any bad ideas. Such a great bumper. Did Luke change up the wings or are those a new option? Mine are a little different, more like the 80 type. I just chopped the exhaust where it turns down over the axle and run it like that.

Lol just looked at Coastal's 100 series rear bumpers. I see what you mean, haha. And yeah. I'm really liking how their 🌮 rear bumper looks.

Thanks for the input on that @J1000! Will definitely let you know when I need help with holding my beer and drinking my bumper ; D haha ROFL.

Anyone else out there familiar with or recommend (or not) Coastal Offroad bumpers?? I haven't seen too much on google for 3rd gen Tacomas.

Thanks. Yep, he changed up the design last year for the 100. That's what pushed me over the edge, I think the new update really sets it off. We'll see how many trips I get before the exhaust is mashed up haha!

New brake hoses from Wits End, and a brake flush. Nice gross project for the day.

Most of the fluid looked okay but the LSPV bled some gross brown slop for a bit.

Did you replace the rear soft lines from the caliper to the backing plate? When I did mine I had to file out the backing plate because the ends were wrong...

Yeah I did all the soft lines. I ran into the same problem and called them to clarify. Some of the later models have a smaller bracket and you need to make it a bit larger.

Painted my bumper over the weekend and got it installed just in time for snow.

A1 Sandblasting in Golden sandblasted the whole thing for $40!

I am so STOKED on how it completes the truck! It matches with the Slee sliders and Dissent front bumper and the LX lines so well.

These are the lights I used:

Looking awesome! What paint did you go with?

I used a self etching primer this time hoping that it will hold up a bit better. I considered powder coat but I do love rattle can touchups.

Thanks guys! I went with ColorRite paintmatched cans that comes with clearcoat and then for the other parts I used Semour black bed liner. Same as how I did my front bumper. I also used self etch automotive primer over the whole thing inside and out.

Replaced outer tie rods (again) on tacoma. This time using Toyota genuine parts. So far 3 previous pairs of Moog outers all have had a life span of 2500 miles each before developing play and needing replacement. I found some beefy Fabtech outers but they are too short and Fabtech doesn't have a inner tie rod or a solution for this issue, too bad😢. Toyota tie rod is nice and shinny, non serviceable. Fabtech is top, moog on bottom in lower pic. Also found a nice home for my new cruise moab/ outer limit supply first aid kit!
