I believe I have a portable swamp Cooler. If it would help, you can keep it for the rest of the build.
I haven't used it in a couple years. But its a big full sized thing.

I am around this morning but going on the BOWAGW trip today for the afternoon
Or we could meet sometime later...

If you're around today, I could probably pick this up for @Inukshuk. I'll be in Golden picking up parts and back to Erie afterwards. Shoot me a message if you'd like me to transport.

Thanks. I had a great visit with Keith and just got back into Golden and heading up to Erie. I won’t be starting up there at nine but I also don’t have to stop sooner cause I’ll have some cooling!

Next Work Days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday August 31, September 1 & September 2 - Labor Day!
Chevy V8 experience wanted!
I got parts so start to put the V8 back together, cut some metal, attach a transmission, remove more emissions stuff from suburban, final suburban disassembly and roll it outside for disposal, shoot pool, have a beer, play skee ball
Maybe test fit the V8

Good luck! Wish I could be there. Iirc the most finicky thing is the front and rear main seal alignment.

I’ll buy you lunch if you come all the way down for wrenching on this.
I heard something about having to align a seal. That sounded strange to me considering all our Toyota seals fit snuggly. But I guess on the other hand it’s pretty cool that most of these gaskets don’t require FIPG. Trade offs. Guess I better watch some YouTube.
Looks like your shop is big enough that I can visit with LongCruiser and drive inside!

I so was going to focus on work this AM and not get distracted by the project .... but there it goes!
The rear cover I got already has the seal in it. I just watched a video about how to slowly and evenly install and bolt it with the oil pan on.
The front seal I have not watched yet but generally I understand that since the seal is installed in the bolt-on cover plate same issue of making sure the cover plate is flush to the pan sealing surfaces

It isn’t that difficult just take your time. I tore down my lq4 before installing and rebuilt the top end. I replaced almost all of the gaskets and I’ve been driving mine all summer with zero leaks. Probably 3500 miles so far. Just take your time on them and snug from the inside out and then torque them.
I snapped a couple of exhaust manifold bolts on disassembly and one of the long pan bolts on reassembly, quick weld and they came out easy.

There were two broken exhaust manifold bolts. We got those out a few weeks ago by puddling on some weld and then a nut.
I have 10..9 cap head bolts for exhaust manifold reinstallation.

Yea just take your time and it’s pretty easy. Next time in I’ll replace head bolts with arp studs but I used all stock hardware and no issues

@Inukshuk hope it went well! Excited to see the long cruiser with an LS. Shop isn't quite finished but it's a dry and shady place to work if you ever need it.

Have not posted for a while.. Busy fall, and much work did not lend itself to me being organized enough to even know what to ask.

Had an amazing Saturday a while back with electrical experts Bill Van Beek, @mikedrom @Cruisertrash and @baileyfj40 . The next few days I wll be making all the connections we laid out.

@Westward Cruiser and @satchel are every present support

With @Westward Cruiser's guidance and welder, we built an exhaust. 2.5 inch SS all the way!

Fuel lines all connected. heater hoses connected. Intake hoses figured, waiting on a few parts. PS all connected. Radiator hoses figured. Fan shroud built from 2 LC shrouds - keeping mechanical fan. Dakota Digital SG-3000 on the way to make dash gear indicators work.

Wires, wires, and more wires.

And a bazillion more things.

This weekend (starting today): connect a lot of stuff, make last brake line, fill and bleed brakes, reassemble dash bits, mount fuse boxes and PCM, wire a lot

Visitors always welcome! text me for details.
