I grew up in Elizabeth, and have wanted that exact 40 since I started driving. The bumper gives it away. I drove by it nearly every day during my middle school/high school days. Storage, funds, and fluctuation in life have always kept me from moving on it.
I'm not far from the seller. I've got some time, I'll swing by to see if it's still hangin' out in the same place. I'll see if I can make contact with the seller and get some more info.

Hopefully someone here gives it a new home.

I got a reply from him the day his ad went up. He's taking bids and claims he had a bid of $12000, sight unseen.

I message a lot of folks selling stuff on FB MP and there's a particular type of person that thinks they've stumbled onto their retirement plan. This guy strikes me as that type. Not that this 40 is junk, it does look pretty dang nice. Hopefully I'm wrong, but be prepared for a difficult negotiation and a high price.

I wouldn't let the missing title be an issue. I'm currently going through the CO title replacement process on my 78 and so far so good. Just time and paperwork.
