Most of the motorhomes came with a 22r or 22re. There was a limited few with the 3.0 I believe. Only thing I really know is to make sure the rear axle is a true full floating dually. I guess there was a "fake" dually that was a piece of junk. Otherwise they are pretty good little rigs that get decent mileage!

Agreed, it is a lot of $ signs, but almost a 1 of a kind rig. Someone will likely pay close to what he wants, just not from this board. Always fun to look though! Too bad Toyota never made something similar, like maybe a 45 LWB crew cab?

I dont know much about the motorhomes, don't they have the 22re's in them, so why wouldn't the swap kit from OS work?
It can be done. In fact, the swap would be exactly what I did with the Chili, and the outcome would be very desirable. The problem with gas-to-diesel swaps is emissions certification by the state for the front range. A NO-GO last I heard.

If it has a 3.0, the swap is infinitely easier (and cheaper). If it has a 22R-based powerplant, you are looking at a drivetrain swap (motor, trans, transfer if 4x4, relocating the motor ~3" forward). Certainly doable as evidenced by the Chili, but if I had it to do over I would have started with a 3.0 like ScaldedDog's. My hatred of the 3.0 must have infected my thinking...

Not a horrible price on the HT but a little steep on the 8800. I really like my 8800......just wish it was backlit!

SO this ad is for an overpriced FJ40 winch, but look at the end of the ad, it says FJ40 soft top for $125. Happened to run across it. No details, but someone might want to look into it.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people call a winch, a wench :hill:

I wonder though, if he thinks his PTO "wench" is worth $1200 what kind of condition is the soft top in that he only wants $125 for it :D

FZJ80 on ebay...

Looks like a possible good deal...

'95 FZJ80 w/ 81K miles - lifted, ARB w/ winch - $11,750 OBO

Can't tell if it is locked and I assume there is no extra charge for the bright yellow wheels/rims :hill:

In NJ so probably safe to assume you may be dealing with rust mitigation...

EDIT: meant to post this in the CL thread

Those wheels is hideous! I'm going to post up a couple of pictures for later use in hideousness competition threads.
