1974 Toyota FJ40 - $880 (Silverthorne)

Needs work. Currently the front axle is taken apart, as you can see in picture. Just tried starting this last weekend and would not start, engine turns but doesn't turn over (think needs good fuel and carb cleaned up). Did start last summer. e-mail if interested. Tires are new 35" MTR's, I'd like to recover the price of the tires at least, so I'm asking $880

keywords; rockcrawler, rock crawler, 4x4, jeep, fj60, landcruiser, lifted

I just saw that post on mud. whew....pricey for sure. Let's see. I bought my LX for $6750. Add lift, tires, bumper...what's that $7k? Okay, so we're up to 13k...I put in a new interior for a grand...$14k. Hmm..add another grand for stereo...$15k. Add a SC, I'm at $18k. Wow...long way still to go for another 12 grand!

$6000 for the paint (per the post). Another $2000 for the new seat upholstery. 40th anniversary markup: $2000? Getting closer.....

6k for paint is high. I only paid 4 for my fj45, and it was down to bare metal. I already factored in new seats....but not if he's paying someone else to do all the work. If he plans on getting expended labor money back, he's going to be waiting a bit. Still, sweet looking truck for sure.

Thanks for posting those... I'm looking at a 93 FJZ80 that is in really good shape... but a previous owner put 20" rims and tires on there. Those would look MUCH better.

Pretty sure your 93 had 16" wheels stock so I don't think these would clear the brake calipers.
