I like that red FJ40.

Yea I’ve sent that to a few buddies here locally. I think if it checks out it’s a fair price.

Cali plates & no vin plate under the hood. Makes you wonder if it would be hard to title here in Colorado. Out of state requires a vin inspection.

True, I went through this with my Idaho rig a few months back...thank god for 25 years of records!

I wrote to the seller and hopefully will hear back soon.

The R transmissions wouldn't last long behind a 2JZ-GTE. Maybe the A340 auto? According to Wikipedia they used the V160 stick in the MkIV twin turbo Supras, which was never in a truck.

I had to look it up. I knew the twin turbo MkIV was powerful but 320 HP & 315 lb-ft, yup. I know the R150F holds up OK behind 3.4L with blowers, but I don't think Toyota rated them for this much power and torque.

The r154 is a very stout transmission. Alot of aupra guys run them on the 2jz with big power and I had one on a 1jz with nitrous and slicks full throttle shifting with no clutch. Never any issues!
