Just sent a text to my wife asking if she wanted to take a drive to glenwood to pick it up. She responded...tonight?

Did you buy it?

Guy couldn't be nicer - texted him back when it was $6,500 and love the family shots as well

Yeah, he texted me photos. Seems like a stand-up guy.

Did he happen to ever say if it is reliable enough to drive home to the front range? I'm loving the idea of an ken soft top on this truck! Tempted to drive to glenwood today.

Said he drives it all over, including multiple trips to Moab and back. Go get it!

Do you know if it has power steering? Or How many gears in the transmission?

Most of all.. How come you don't want it?! :-)

I think he's taking about the other truck in glenwood springs.

Yep, the Glenwood Springs truck! To answer some of the above questions, no power steering, which seems like it could be tough on 35's, stock 3 speed, floor shift. I would have thought that was a conversion to floor shift, but he thinks it was original.

The big issue is that it apparently has a pretty bad speed wobble going on right now, so you would likely want to trailer it home rather than drive it (or have a shop look at it there before driving it home). He just put the tires that were on it, onto his 86 'runner, so these tires are pretty old & have some dry rot cracks. He thinks the suspension needs to be re-shimmed, but it could also just be that the tires need to be balanced, since they are new to the truck & this just started shortly after the switch. The runner that these tires came off of is a well-built trailer truck, so it hasn't ever seen high speed on the tires.

Are going to get it!? My wife gave me the thumbs up. Cash is hard to come by right now though.

Do you know how many gears the transmission has?

Ha, You posted right before me!

You should get it! Seems like a pretty good start to a great truck.

3 speed, with a floor shift. Also drum brakes all around. I'm not sure about going to get it at this point. My wife flies out tomorrow for 9 or 10 days for work, so to do it, we were going to have to go a speed shot out, pick it up & drive it home this afternoon/evening. I don't really have time to take it to a shop, or try to rent a trailer, etc... with her leaving tomorrow. I know it can be fixed in the long run, but I don't know how I feel about trying to drive it home on the highway with a death wobble problem that is present & undiagnosed.

So I just don't know... It seems like it would be an awesome rig for me to put soft tops on for photo though.
