Lakewood, Monday 8/17. My wife sent this to me. She asked if I knew what year it was. Does anyone know what year(s) 60s were available in this silver color. Mine was a 1987.
While attending the Morgan Adams Foundation car events this weekend a visit to the Clive Cussler car collection museum was a high point. ‘30s and ‘40s collector cars aren’t exactly my wheelhouse but good taste is timeless and some of the cars were extremely tasteful. Of particular note, a Bentley Blower race car from 1930 put me in the mind of a Baja set up Lexus, both ready for terrain more suited to donkeys than F1 cars. Something that attracted my attention was the suspension’s cord wrapped leaf springs that appeared to have been done by a highly skilled artisan. The springs, similar to a 40 or 60 series Cruiser, but with what looked to be about 2” travel, were as luxuriously appointed as the rest of the car. Cool! That’s the supercharger and SU carbs sticking out the front.
On Kingston Peak yesterday...
There's was a group of 5 electric dumpsters. Surprisingly they weren't friendly, had no trail etiquette and seemed utterly confused about people being mad at them for driving on the tundra at the mailbox.
