Spotted Shotshell while walking to the light rails after work. I-25 and Broadway.:wav:

Yeah, I was on my way to CVJ Axle to take back my old CVs to get my core charge refunded. They didn't tell me that they wouldn't take aftermarket CVs…only Toyota OEM. But only after I drove all the way back out there. Dick move guys… I guess that's what I get for buying cheap Chinese crap… Ah well.

Anyways, HI! :wav:

Last time was sunday leaving kohls parking lot going straight

Hi Mike,
Yep, I live across from Kohls. We will have to get to together and compare war stories. I have Romer's old SBC 350 that I am going to build for my blue 76. I also have three kids under 3 so I am working on that engine very slowly. Come over one night and have a beer when I am working.

Seems like those would be sweet with a 4x4 swap and a 2UZ. There's a stock one in my hood that I see everyday....and never seen it move.

There's a Cali guy on TTORA building a 3.4 swapped supercharged one. It's pretty sweet. 280HP is plenty to pull that thing around :thumb:

Yeah the chinooks are neat... I have always eye'd them up for a 4x4 + diesel + webasto heater swap.

I should think so given the one above is probably being powered by a 20R with sub-100 HP.

Great idea. The 1L in the ad linked above would be anemic as a petrified turtle up here though!

You'd want a relatively modern Toyota diesel for it, or something like a B3.3 perhaps. I'd probably only consider it with a 3L/Turbo at an absolute minimum, and even then it would be sub-ideal. A 1KZ-TE would start getting to be doable, and a newer diesel would be the business!

Perry spotted me (not my truck, me) on 16th street mall. We walked a bit and came upon this:

Same truck we've talked about before. I wasn't aware the HJ-61 had ever been offered with a semi-float axle. Very clean HJ-61, to be sure!

Spotted this 62 at a diesel specialty shop up near me in Arvada. It had a "For Sale" and a phone number on the back. I called the owner (NE plates, Santa Barbara phone number?)
It has a 12BT conversion, but suffered a fire and no longer runs. Also no longer for sale, so I wiped his info off the window.
Fire was caused by an improperly installed kill switch. I'm guessing there might be some legal repercussions with the shop that botched that install.
