Have a friend in monument valley looking for a mechanic recommended. He’s currently in Kayenta.

Anyone know of a good shop near by?

Thanks! We’ve been working on it over the phone. He’s currently got it cobbled and is limping his way to Monticello.

Got him sorted today. The duck tape and baling wire held all the way to Grand Junction. Case closed lol.

He called me from a tow truck. Then we traded pics and he told me what happened. Once I figured out he blew up a CV, we got It disassembled in a way that kept preload on the unit bearing and he got a wooden spoon duct taped and bailing wired in place that kept the inner joint from sliding out. During the disassembly process the inner clip was lost. Kind of the way you retain a semifloat axle from sliding out.

Anyhow, he’s back on the road.
