Crawlagon does seem neat. I do like the punny name.
But I am confused by the pricing between about $2-$230 for 3d printing file download. I appreciate the guy put in a lot of his time ("1000s of hours" per his About Me page, link: https://crawlagon3d.com/pages/about-us). At the same time, what is the justification on some of the pricing? Is the value in all the models already being checked to fit together in random configurations and accounting for different printer settings? If someone has a 3d printer plus the experience of using a 3d printer (software and freely available websites), then what is Crawlagon adding? Is he printing the models and shipping them to people?
A couple specific observations: the Crawlagon system resembles gridfinity used by many with 3d printers to organize tools & hardware. Examples of free gridfinity for organizing: https://www.printables.com/tag/gridfinity
Then there are already examples of free 3d print crawling obstacles: https://makerworld.com/en/collections/3905380-crawler
What is the difference between Crawlagon and printing free crawling obstacles on a gridfinity base?
I do not mean to dismiss Crawlagon. Maybe the models are really good, and well thought out. He does have a few models available for free which is cool. Maybe the free models are also intended to get people hooked into the system.
Sorry he called himself an engineer, and got my curiosity/engineers tism tingling. There are many people who call themselves this or that to make a buck at the expense of the truth.
At the same time I recognize I can be ignorant. Is the Crawlagon system worth paying what he's charging?
