Had my little one out for a rip at @DomOfTheDead & @Yarn Cruiser house recently. It still gets around pretty well for a 1:14 scale if the terrain is sized accordingly, but I think it's probably time to step into the 1:10 world soon.

Pro tip: save a few sturdy cardboard boxes from Costco. Next time ffroadin at the end of the trail borrow a few rocks & boulders. Only borrow responsibility where appropriate. The cardboard boxes from Costco are perfect for cushioning the rocks home, and clean up is way easy.

Also. A good n solid rock collection is awesome for boulder carry workouts. Just ask Brian Shaw.

Theyre certainly addicting. I still need to mod my RcRun80 1:10 80-series body for the bigger tires i put on it. but ive also been having a lot of fun in the back yard with an Arrma Senton 4x4. With a 3s battery it claims to go 55mph..and by the looks of it running, it does.

Me and @MountainGoat were out playing with the trucks when my driver-side knuckle broke off after I was getting daring poser shots. On the bright side fixes are in the works and new tires are on the way! (Don’t put your RC rigs on rocks 10 feet tall the pics aren’t worth it.)

Whoa cool Bruce, RC sailboats! crazy to see how far the hobby has come, when I was young I was building planes and stuff from scratch and promptly crashing them. Now i have two cheap foamies at work I fly on break that are infinitly more capable than anything I ever dreamnt of building. As far as trucks go, were still loving our Ascent 18 1/18 crawler. We now have two. both have simple mods, sticky tires silicone inserts and brass wheels. Mine I've relocated everything to lower CG and put in a smaller battery. They do awesome and are super fun.

I sail with the Harper Lake Model Yacht Club in Louisville. Some of those guys also fly planes at the Boulder model airport. I want to go see it but doubt I’ll actually want to get a plane. When your sailing and bump into someone elses boat, it’s bad form. If that happens in the air, the result can be much worse. I'd hate to take out someone’s irreplaceable hand built plane.

Did anyone else here see the display at the Outdoor Expo of the guys that 3D model various off-road routes? They had a scale version of Hell's Gate that was very cool.
