I get just the picture too. But it's a goat, and nobody wants a goat...

Hummingbirds at the cabin in Pagosa Springs. I took these with a super fast shutter speed and put it on full auto, and just held down the shutter button. I was standing about three feet away from the feeder.

We don't see them very often, but from time to time a Ruby Throated Hummingbird will drop in for a visit.

^^^ Nice pic.

Little bit of weather flying around all day. I was up riding Keystone this morning and it just unloaded. Rain, hail, thunder, all at once.

A few unusual Toyotas spotted on our current trip to Squamish BC:

1. An RV from Germany in Yellowstone. The flag stickers are on both sides and cover a significant portion of the world. We saw the truck is four different places throughout the day.

2. A JDM import. I think its an HZJ61.

3. Another JDM import Surf.

Today's shoot location. Unbelievably gorgeous day. Leaves are starting to go up high. Nothing like lugging a full camera pack and then some up above tree line. Going to sleep well tonight.

Full size pano is made of 6 frames shot vertically with a 35mm lens.

Hope everyone got out a bit today.

Man, what a crappy ugly state we live in. We should all move to New Jersey, the "garden state". Nice composition and lighting BTW...

Just ugly. Most definitely ugly. And it gets uglier every time I go out.

Thanks for the kudos. It's Dorothy Lake at the top of Arapahoe pass. I'd never been up there before but it was absolutely stunning. Not a difficult hike but it does climb 2000' of vertical in about 3 miles or so. We had the place to ourselves for pretty much the entire shoot which I found surprising given the number of cars along the road at the 4th of July trail head when we got back down.

On the way up. The lake is over the ridge, behind the tree on the right.

Back down through the scree field.

The aspens appear to be going pretty fast. Get out and enjoy them while you still can.

When the shutter is open and embers blow out of the fire. To the naked eye, this didn't look any different from any other fire.

EDIT: It seems to work now on the computer, but not on the phone. :dunno:

It even shows up in your reply? Not sure what's going on.

Here's another one. You can tell I had the ISO set too high on this shot and it gave me a really grainy photo. I was trying to adjust for the fire, the Denver lights and the Milky Way.
