Shot a roll on the Hassy too while I was out. Tried a few new tricks so we'll see what worked next week.

The Strawberry moon rising made me realize I have to override the auto settings on the D5200 because this was at least 3 F stops over exposed. In the viewfinder I could see craters and mara. In this it is all just too bright. This was with the 200 lens maxed. I used a tripod because leaning against a tree didn't seem stable enough. After looking at the pictures I realized the main problem was over exposure, not moving during a long shutter duration.

killer view. for the moon, especially full ones, you'll want to be about 1/2 to a full stop under.
