On a plane...
Well, damn. The day job notified me of a surprise transfer to a new group and nixed my vacation request. Not happy about it. So, instead of romping through the Swell with you guys, I’ll be sitting on yet another airplane. Have fun and I’ll live vicariously through the pictures afterwards.

Perry, please add me to the list. Doing HITR Dec 6-10, so it would line up perfectly.

Sorry Perry--

Looked through the thread and could not find them.

Do we have definite dates and meeting point yet?

Looking forward to this.

Confirmed, I'm in. Probably pulling the boy from school to act as my co-driver.

Will send you a pm about your possible co driver, and what to expect regarding Outlaws.

I'll bring a back brace. :hill::thumb:

I will be there. I vote we head for Texas.

Hey guys, I'm out for Outlaws Run on the Swell this year. Hopefully that will make someone on the wait list very happy!

Unfortunately, I need to go to the Corpus Christi , TX area for about 3 weeks on business at that time. But I'll be thinking about you guy, especially at 6 AM each morning. :campfire:

Perry, do put me down for Montana next summer though as I need to go there at some point next year anyway. Outlaws will definitely be the high point of that trip... I'm sure.

Have fun guys! :beer::beer::beer:

Acting out Matt's vote I guess...:D

All,

Here is the basic plan for the run this year. We will be camping at the usual spots off Mexican Mountain Road. Saturday plan to meet up in Green River at 11am at Rays Tavern. After lunch, we'll head North for a stop at the old town of Castlegate. The site of the Payroll Robbery Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch. From there will make another stop in Helper. Then end at camp. Sunday's plan is to do Fixit Pass/Eagle Canyon?. Monday we will hike to Sid's Mountain Cabin. This will be an 8-10 hr hike. A place that's been on the radar for sometime. Tuesday Most likely Devils Race Track, or what ever feels good that day. Excited to get out there!

Will work on updating who's going list this weekend.

Not to answer for Perry, but 10 gallons have been plenty for me on a similar route in the past. Not an 80 but a Chevy powered mini getting ~14mpg loaded.

Thanks for the interest in the run:thumb:. But yeah, were full.

Perry, how much extra fuel if any should an 80 Series bring?

And how many miles is the hike?

Dans about right for fuel. We can always make a pit stop, if need be. Hike, if we choose to do the full loop (lots of rock art panels) will be about 16 miles. A full 8-10 hr day.

Did I miss a meeting location for Saturday?

Ray's. 11am on 12/2/2017.
