here's a sauce recipie we use when were feeling like more than tomato sauce/salt/oregano

2tbspgrated cheese
1inchanchovy paste
8ounce cantomato sauce
1tspextra virgin olive oil
1/3_small cantomato paste
1/3_cupred wine
1tspbasil dry
1/2_tspgarlic powder
1/2_tsponion powder
1/8_tspblack pepper
1/2_tsporegano dry
1tspparsley
sprinklered pepper flakes
Mix & Simmer
I love and vey frequently substitute Anchovies or Anchovy paste for salt. It does add a subtle, not overpowering taste as well. But in general most will never try it. Their loss

Mmmmm, more onions! What are you using for meat?

I haven’t posted to this thread in a while. A buddy of mine is a food rep here in town. I bought a case of pizza dough balls from him. This has made pizza nights way easier. Pull them out the day before to thaw in the fridge then day of to rise. $55 got me enough for 120 personal pizzas.

Meatball pepperoni pizza.

Any recommendations for a good pizza oven?

Moved to an area where the pizza places are Pizza Hut & Casey’s gas station. I just can’t.

we have a pelet fired ooni which is OK, I'd get the propane one next time. The pellet fired one is too much of a pain to keep going on multi pizza nights and tough to preheat sometimes. We do live at almost 8k' so I had to add some chimney length to get it to draft right also. If its burning right you don't get any real "wood" taste out of it, so why not just go propane.

We love our Alfa.

Thanks! May be out of the price range but could be worth it.

Great feedback. I was looking at pellets thinking it might be easy, but maybe not.

I’ve just ventured into charcoal grilling world and HAVE to have a good pizza setup now since we have none.

We have been very happy with our Halo Versa it has a rotating stone with an infra red heater under the stone as well as the flame at the back. Bought the conversion kit from them to go from propane to natural gas so i never need to change a bottle. Also has a lid that hinges at the back for cleaning of the oven,
