I keep forgetting to mention this, but there's a kid's bike company here in Ft. Collins. They have also expanded to making bikes that fit otherwise hard to fit small adults, too.

Trailcraft Cycles:

I don't know how they stack up or their line comparably, but they are local. Brett works (or did, not sure) at Niner, so they're probably legit.

Dave, those look pretty nice. I never shopped that price range so I can comment on how competitive they are on apples to apples.

I was looking at this as a possible next bike for Bridger as you can upgrade it to a 26" wheel as he grows. But I'm not sure I want him to deal with the long chainstay while running 24's

Suspension experiment. AMP Research. 2.25” of travel. Bridger took a beating the last time we rode. This was the lightest fork I had laying around and I was able to slide the cantilever mounts down an inch to accommodate the 24” wheel. Took it to 22.5 lbs on the nose

Holy balls, haven't seen an AMP Research fork in ages. It's even a disk brake compatible one. That's so cool.

As we know kids just keep growing. It was time to bump his BMX up to. Junior XL. Swapped in 155mm cranks. A taller set of bars should arrive on Tuesday. But 13.09 lbs as she sits. The frame is a NOS Intense Phenom I picked up on close out for only $99.00.
