Apex Companies is hiring geologists and engineers through the Lakewood office right now. We had a few accept the job offer and then not show on day one. They aren't the highest paying company but are in the right range for experience. I started in August and so far I love working here. It has been worth it to me to work in a positive environment for a little less per year.

Apex is once again hiring for scientist 1. Could be a scientist 2 with enough experience. I started as a sci2 in August and was just offered an assistant project manager position. Less than a year and I am already moving up the ladder. They are motivated to train and get the right people working together.

If you want to send me links I can get them to the geology and engineering departments at DU. They are also always intercom setting up internships for students

@Shuksan , PM sent. For others that may be interested, keep an eye out here. The specific positions that I discussed with a few PMs have not been posted yet but there are others listed.
These are specific to the Denver area. They are national and have many more opportunities open across the US.

People's Soviet Socialist Republic of California,
If anyone is interested in working for the Navy in a civilian research/education capacity, there are a bunch of jobs at my organization. A few are remote but most require relocation to Monterey, California. Generally they get posted to Herc Jobs.

Note that these are NOT on the GS scale. The GS scale jobs at my organization get posted to USA Jobs (at least that's my understanding).

Here are a few examples:

It's always good to make new and maintain connections.

I'm happy to offer what help I can networking with my connections at Lockheed Martin (I worked '15-'21), and my current employer Northrop Grumman (since '21). Both good companies in my experience.

Right now I have limited Internet access for the next few weeks. But when I have better interwebs I can help better.

Do you have a preference for job role/level, pay/benefits, and/or relocation? Of course those are relatively personal questions, please feel free to DM.

I've worked/enjoyed systems engineering, mechanical engineering, propulsion engineering, and combinations of these roles. If someone knows of a cool, hands-on, fullfilling possibility I'd love to hear more to learn. Idk if I'd necessarily change roles but good to talk.

Allen
