Hey gang, I am working on another dashboard accessory mount for the 100 series, and am trying to figure out how universal this is across the model years. I know it works on 2003-2007, but I'm just curious about the older 100's, and when/if there were significant changes to the dash and the vents surrounding the radio.
so if you have a second can you help me confirm my assumption here? I believe there are 2 styles.. this one is 99-02
And this one is 03-07
the notable difference being on the older model the plastic bezel that surrounds the radio is one piece.. when you pop that off you remove the radio surround, the vents, switches, everything. but on the newer models, the side vents are separate from the stuff that surrounds the nav. Does that sound right to you?
And if anyone's local with a 2002 or older 100 series who would like to add a dashboard accessory mount, I will offer you free installation on one of these, which includes an intial fit check to see if what I have even fits yours, or if we need to develop a new one. but if what I have works you can watch me install it. You can also watch the install ahead of time in this video.
And if we need to develop a new one, I will also offer that to you for free, in exchange for coming by and allowing me to measure your dash, then come by again to test fit the first version, etc. That's if we need to develop another version for 98-2002, or something.
