Alright, I’ve got the details. It was found about a mile away from where it was stolen. Everything my buddy left inside was there including some nice work boots. No locks nor was the Ignition messed with. Like someone had a key and drove it to where it was found.

That is curious but I don’t know anything about stealing a vehicle. Short of having a key, how is this done?

Spotted it on a route I take home from work pretty often, near the Safeway (which locals call the UnsafeWay) on Park Avenue. @HDavis said he drove that same street I think yesterday or this morning on his commute and it wasn't there, so it was actively being used. I circled the block to find a parking spot where I could keep tabs on it and not spook the thief if they were around, and called Hans. he called the owner Sam, who got there in about 15 minutes. Problem solved.

I'm really glad the owner, Sam, is going to get the chance to be bitten by the Cruiser bug. I think he only had the truck for a few weeks before it was stolen and it would have been a shame if that was the end of his Cruiser addiction.

I mean, it's a car thief. Not usually the smartest of the bunch! Interestingly the owner said there was zero damage, including to the ignition cylinder. So how did the their start it? Are the tumblers in old Cruiser cylinders so worn out that any key can start these trucks?

I discovered my 60 can be unlocked with any key that will properly fit into the door locks. Haven’t tried the ignition switch yet.
