Let’s meet at the corner of 191 and 128 in Moab on Friday morning at 11am. In the lions park parking lot.

How about Denny’s at 8am in GJ Friday morning if you’re coming from the east.

I’m leaving slee at 5:30pm on Thursday if anyone wants to convoy.

Friday morning in Moab, we will discuss trail leadership principles.

After we will split up and go run Trails

Camp out by strike revien see coordinates above.

Saturday morning we will further discuss trail leadership then hit the trails. Some folks are headed over to Kane Creek camp ground to organize CM layout.

Sounds great. Work is absolutely nuts this week, so there is a decent chance I will have to work half a day in the office on Friday then meet up with you all on Friday evening. I'll post with my official plan later this week.

Hi everyone! Tried to peruse this thread quickly, but I am trying to get out this weekend pretty much solely to pre-run Dome Plateau. Is anyone going to be available, perhaps even on the way out of Moab, to run this with me? I'm not comfortable running it solo. Please let me know ASAP, so I know if I'm going! Thanks so much!

Planning to leave Denver Thurs evening and stay in GJ for that night. I'd also like to run Dome Plateau as I'm leading it on Friday.

I’ll be driving out Friday afternoon. Assume I’ll just head straightt to the Camp spot, so if anything changes please either post up or shoot me a text. I need to run Porcupine (gunning) and Arches (leading). And will likely help Andy on layout as well Saturday.

I'm not going to with you all on the trail runs, but are any of you planning on eating dinner somewhere in Moab on Friday night. I would like to join you if thats the plan. I am out there to meet at Kanes Creek campground on Saturday.

Brian,
No dinner plans yet but we'll keep you in the loop!
Great to hear you're meeting us on Saturday, plenty to look at and chat over, looking forward to it.

Scott,
I'll keep you looped in on any Friday night changes as well.
Thanks!

I have run and led Dome Plateau several times. I suggest that we should run it Friday on the way into Moab or get an early start and run it on Sunday on the way home. Makes no sense to go out there and back on Saturday.

I have not heard yet on plans but I for one hope we do dinner at camp at least one night. Town the other sounds great!

Outstanding! That's why Greg and I differentiate "prerunning" from Trail Leader Training.

In registration confirmations I sent a copy of the Trail Leader Guidelines (attached) that is inserted in to every trail leader packet (and promptly ignored LOL). I also added a paragraph to the body text of the confirmation emails. One of the things that drive Neil and I crazy after the event is over is going through the not-filled-out or not-filled-out-properly insurance waivers.

Each minor child needs a separate waiver filled out completely on both sides! I put 10 forms into each leader packer. In the unlikely event you have more than 10 minor children on your run, it is acceptable to put more than one on the form with the same parents signing both sides. Don't forget that the leader or gunner must sign as a witness to both the adult waivers and the minor child waivers!

Leader packets also contain accident reporting forms, trail meetup spots and radio frequencies, and lots more. Oh and $25 cash for the leader and $10 cash for the gunner. Leaders receive their trail leader shirts when they pick up their leader packets, porta potties, sat phones and spill kits at headquarters.

On Friday and Saturday night is the group planning to camp at the dispersed site or Kane Creek Campground? I’ll be heading down Friday and likely won’t be arriving until 7-8pm.

We are minutes away from Denny's on Horizon Drive in Grand Junction. Got a couple locals hang out with us this morning too. See you all here soon and if not see you at the Lions hub parking lot just at Moab at 11 AM
