Wow this list is about 5 times the size of the group we had last year. I plan on being out there May 17-21 so I’ll likely miss the official pre run days.

Last year we had many more people on the list but there was a big snowstorm in Colorado that week and most could not make the trip.

@zombie2hundo do you mean March 17-21? Some of us will be out there early like last year, let me know if you are in town!

What does the camping situation look like? Off grid - byo everything? Or swanky sites - toilets etc?

I am planning on grabbing a group campsite that has pit toilets and shelters with picnic tables. It was the one very close to where we camped the last 2 years in a dispersed open area. Bring water and food. There is a gas station and the dinosaur park place that has a cafe and snacks, maybe 15 minutes away. Should have decent cell phone service.

OK never mind. The group site is $150-175 per night, limited to 10 vehicles. The site we used the last 2 years is huge and room for everyone, and the group campsite and toilets are like a 5 minute drive way :)

Thanks for checking it out. It was a good idea. Guess that is why it is always empty. Still, provides us with clean pit toilets just 8 minutes from camp.

I lost the thread here, are we getting a couple of or a group campsites still potentially? We were planning on finding some BLM site or something for this. But would much prefer group camping if anyone is still doing so?

If we are doing dispersed, that is fine as well, doesn’t really matter where we camp, just prefer to be with the group if that is possible!

We will be camping in a large group site together, just not at the actual campground. I will post up a pin when I get there earlier that week.

Yes, during that time. I love mid week when barely any peeps are in the trials. I also like to avoid i70 on the weekends:)

Is there a caravan being assembled for a drive out on Friday 21st?

There usually is a caravan, we can post up here or start a thread. I will already be out there earlier in the week, but my youngest son Connor will be driving out Friday.

We have a month but it’s never too late to start planning. I’ll keep an eye out wherever, for the caravan talk to start up.

Hopefully, a lot of people drive out Thursday evening. It’s planned for a three day weekend of all day Friday all day, Saturday and Sunday morning.
