I was lucky enough to actually fly on a TWA L-1011 a long time ago. It was in this exact livery.

My only overlap was working with (and learning on) the Rolls Royce RB211 Power plant. The platform was awesome. It was too heavy, didn't produce enough thrust, and suffered from excessive fuel consumption. On brand for the '60's and 70's. It bankrupted (and nationalized) RR, and added to the list of reasons the L-1011 was mothballed by LM.
