Hello folks!
I've been making replacement fuel evap separators for our 40-series trucks. These are the little manifolds that connect all the gas tank vent lines to the charcoal canister by way of a check-valve. So far, I've made replacement parts for early/mid-model 40-series trucks (mine is a 78), but I need a bit of help making sure my prototype fits a 79+ model. Eventually, I may also take a stab at 60-series models.
This all started when I found mine busted (gas smell in the cab), and I found out Toyota doesn't make 'em anymore, so the only option was to spend 180-250 for a 50-year-old plastic part that was going to break in the same way mine did. So a few months later and a lot of iterations, I have a side gig, haha. Now, folks have been asking about a version for the '79+ models (Toyota part no. 77193-60013) and I'm getting to work on it.
If anyone is within a stones-throw of Longmont and has a '79 or later 40-series truck and is willing to help, I would really appreciate it! Basically I'm trying to verify that clearances all work and whatnot. It was easy to do when I was designing a part for my own truck, but now I need a bit of help, and meeting a local 40-owner sounds fun to boost. If someone's willing, I'd be happy to toss in a finished part for your trouble when it's all said and done.
There are some overlaps in model years, but I'm looking for a truck that has a cover-plate like this behind the passenger seat:

For those that might be curious about this, I have a design thread over on the 'mud forums: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/replacement-fuel-vapor-separators-now-available.1365981/
Here's a sneak peak of how the prototype is looking so far:

For anyone that has the older style of separator and is in the market for a replacement, I'd be happy to sell em at a $10 discount to anyone local / willing to make the drive to Longmont. Here's my site for more details: www.compyfab.com
Thank you all!
