"Looking more and more likely that the majority of the Denver metro area is in for a major 10”+ snowstorm Wednesday/Thursday."

DENVER — Several forecasting models are predicting Denver could see its biggest snowstorm in years this week.
A winter weather storm system is forecast to arrive in Colorado on Wednesday with impacts continuing to affect the state on Thursday and Friday.
9NEWS meteorologist Chris Bianchi said that although nothing is certain, it looks increasingly likely Denver will get a big storm from Wednesday through Friday.

A European forecasting model has 90% odds of 6 inches or more of snow in Denver Wednesday to Friday. The GFS forecasting model predicts 90% odds for more than a foot of snow in Denver.
"[It's] looking more and more likely that the majority of the Denver metro area is in for a major 10”+ snowstorm Wednesday/Thursday," Bianchi said.
Thursday is the three-year anniversary of Denver’s last official double-digit snowstorm.

Well poop.

Still a LOT of uncertainty...

FYI the Pre-Run will go on as scheduled, I will be there hopefully tomorrow afternoon. Some Utah and Grand Junction folk will be there also. No real way to reschedule this. EJS is the next 2 weekends. I guess April 6-7 could work. I will be out there April 13-14 anyway to get ready for CM. Feel free to keep me updated on your decision for this weekend. Most importantly, BE SAFE!

sigh....winter storm watch for dilllon...wednesday morning to late thursday night. 1-2 FEET with up to 3 feet possible. 35 mph gusts.

Vail says 6-12 inches tuesday night to thursday morning.

We need to think about this! I can head out tomorrow but I would think most people coming to the pre-run would want to come out Thursday but this storm sounds like it is pretty serious.

Thoughts??

FML, I'm seeing the snow down on the front range but not in places like Vail. I was hoping as long as I could get on 70 Thursday morning it looked clear up high but maybe I"m high.

I'm just catching up on these weather reports now. You guys are getting all the fun stuff. We're hardly getting any, lol

But yea be safe over i70! Like I said, you're welcome to pitstop at my place in Syracuse and if you need help, I can drive out halfway.

***IMPORTANT*** if you are attending the Pre-Run AND you are leading or gunning at Cruise Moab this year, Please email me what trails you would like on OTHER days than your already confirmed assignments so I can prepopulate you on them! Reminder, you do NOT need to register for a trail that you are leading and gunning. Email is TrailBoss@CruiseMoab.com and as always reach out to myself or Tim Buchanan @timmbuck2 if you have any questions.

Have fun and be safe I'll be staying home for this one, I had enough fun on I-70 and at the Trail Leader Training last weekend lol.
