Out of town now but, will see if I have enough time to prep when I get back. Thanks for herding these cats to make this happen!

Tim have you selected a trail for the 40"s only run?

Bummer, just seeing this changed to next weekend and I have family coming in with other plans already. Y'all have fun.

Sorry for the whiplash - I had some issues with my truck that needed sorting out and it’s made the date bounce around a bit.

If it isn't too much of an issue to be a possible late decision, I may be able to just do the run and no camping but waiting to see how the family feels about me sneaking out.

Could I ride along with someone and take pictures if I meet everyone at the trailhead?

With the amount of scheduling conflicts, this will be a manageable and small group, so no worries. There will be room for you so just let me know when you can.

@DomOfTheDead Show up and I’m sure there will be a seat for you. Guaranteed you can ride in the back of our truck. Maybe somebody else will have a shotgun seat.

You always have a seat in my Rig. I do plan to camp however but you’re welcome to do that too, if, then bring a bag and what not’s. Room for some food et c in fridge as well Unless you could tolerate some of mine. 🤓
Just let me know💁

We got our little skeleton crew and maybe a few more ... I don't know how y'all are feeling but I can't wait to get out of town for the day.

I was drinking coffee this morning and looking at photos on my phone that did NOT involve going to work haha!

Kind of feel like a fool, did not run Medano, reasons and don’t do Holiday weekends. Just Raton pass and back, driving from COS a few errands in town as well. Grossly ~ about 150 miles but took around a 30 ( correction, about 25) gal to do it. Found a spark plug wire burnt, now new ones. Back to a 180 from 160 degree Thermostat (read a great article, happy temps around 205 -215). Also doing my silly air intake mods and heat shield. But now I’m very apprehensive about it all. But I will keep trying to go on this run. Just a little more iffy now …..

Does this mean you're in or out? I don't know the specifics of all that work you described so I'm not sure if you have engine problems or what - I'm not following the problem I guess. Let us know!

Hey pending guys, as we're mid way through the week I just wanted to check in on how y'all are feeling. We can still play it fast & loose, but if you're able to give a solid yes or no that's helpful too.

And for the record, Karen and I are going, even if we're going alone. We have the weekend blocked off and we'll throw the tent out for a night. It'll be good to get out of the city. If the Inaugural 60s only run is a solo trip, then so be it! No pressure on anyone else either way!

@KC Masterpiece - pending
@BritKLR - pending

For those coming, here is the meeting spot: 39.77244, -105.68361.

Meet at 9AM and air down before starting. You do not need to air down to get to the meeting spot, it's a graded dirt road that runs 1 mile north of Empire. Please come fueled up and with everything you need. There is a small gas station in Empire, as well as several fuel stops along I-70 to the east in Downieville, Dumont, and Idaho Springs, and to the west along I-70 in Georgetown.

If anybody wants a Gaia GPS track, including some camp sites I have earmarked, let me know. Happy to send that along.
