That's too bad Travis.

I'm starting to put the details together on this. I've been busy. It looks like 10-14 people so far. More details to come.

I plan to roll into camp Thursday evening to setup before dark. Zepp will get us a list of trails with trail assignments based on what he knows so far. The focus is having people who are leading and gunning trails to run their trails as needed and gain knowledge from other experienced drivers. So let us know your needs.

Focus trails from my perspective will be:

JaxTrax – Moderate trail – We have Greg. L. and Mat Farr leasing two of the days. We will need a 3rd leader and gunners.

The Pickle – This is a difficult trail and has a obstacle that threatens body damage. This has been a concern for me based on some of the pictures and things I have heard about the obstacle. However, I just heard the Kurt W. ran it several years ago with a Tacoma on 33’s and a rear locker. So will probably just have to go for it. I really don’t want to damage my 4runner any more after the year I just had.

Flat Iron Mesa - We will need at least 2 people trained up to lead this.

Cliff Hanger – This has been a difficult trail for leaders a and gunners recently. Travis is leading (Justin gunning) one day. So we will need a 2nd quality leader\gunner package for this one. I don’t think we will run it 3 days this year.

With less participants registered so far this year. Will have less trails to run an thus more leaders available. Plus vendors will be sponsoring some trails again.

I've got a set of Husky Liners for an 80 that need transport back to Aurora. Will anyone have room and live in that general area? Colorado80 is the buyer.

I'll be down there Tuesday afternoon and will claim to our general camp area of the past. Scott, if that is not where you want us let me know.

Scott, I can likely help with the Pickle, though I've not run it before. I think I signed up for it on Saturday. Pending work issues, and getting my junk ready, I'm planning to join you guys this weekend and can pre-run it. I'm not a camper, so I'm staying in town, and plan to arrive between mid-afternoon and 9:00PM. I'll PM you my cell number.

I have your cell ph. Mark. I will keep you posed on our schedule. We usually decide it the night before by 9pm by the campfire based on peoples needs. We head out about 8:30-9am.

Corbet - let's camp in the same area at BFE.

Thanks for all that can make it out.

We can run it pretty quickly this weekend. It's a short one and near town. There is a great hike at the end I take people on. Zepp has you gunning it for me Fri. We can make changes if we want. I'm not really sure what I'm running at this point. But, it's one of my favs.

It doesn't look like we have any good info on the exact location of JaxTrax. I think we can find it and if it's marked like most Moab trails are we will be fine. We have very little info on the trail description. Just the rr4w site which is lacking details. This is not normal for us. I will as Mr. Brewer - our on site manager and rr4w club member when I see him Thursday morning.

This is what I can find - quotes from different sources. Post up if you can get more info.

The Cameo South is an area 25 miles south of Moab is an area never before visited by Jeep Safari. Bordered on the north by Wilson Arch, the south by Steen Road, and on the east by Lisbon Valley

It's near - Hook & Ladder OHV Area and then winds its way to the north and east looping its way back to the staging area.

Hook & Ladder OHV Area is 29 miles south of Moab turn east onto Steens Road and continue 1.3 miles to the trailhead

Sounds good Corbet. I was thinking we should try a different area.

Art is picking up breakfast burritos for the group. We will need help warming them up in the morning.

I think the plan at this point should be to run trails Friday that people personally need to run for the event. Small groups if necessary. Perhaps run JaxTrax the second half of the day Friday as a second trail since it's south of BFE. I'm meeting the Brewers at the event lot at 8:30am for 30min or so Friday and then I'm open.

Then let's run the Pickle Sat. first thing. The YouTube videos I've been watching of it doesn't look that bad.
