Getting confused here, date was set a month ago and there still isn't a location set and the trip is 10 days away? My attendance is very much based on the location so I'd love to know what the plan is. Thanks

Dude are you rolling if rom North Dakota?

Still not positive if we can leave in time, I'll be in Vail and that's 100 miles to the east. If I trailer the 40 to the trail, what would the suggestion be for where to leave a big truck and trailer that's not too inconvenient from the end of the trail?

Finally, I've mentioned before that my 40 didn't run perfectly normal at altitude, anyone techy enough to help me adjust timing etc?

I am in. I'm coming from Thornton myself, anyone interested in caravaning our 'M&Ms' from the metro area?

I'm in Broomfield, we can roll together. :thumb:

Can anyone give me logistics advice for these three things:

1) Will trailer my rig to near meet up point. Where would be best to park tow rig for the day? Not quite sure where it's ending. Should I leave it somewhere near I-70 and if so, any suggestions so I don't get ticketed?

2) Buddy flying in from KC to ride with me, can someone suggest a car service/taxi etc to get him a ride to DIA at the end of the day?

3) Kingston Pass is one of the trails, is that the only one for Sat, or is there a connecting one? I'm downloading to gps ahead of time.

Thanks!

Doing my own homework here:

1) My buddy is going to stay overnight, so no need for taxi advice.
2) Called Beau Jo's, the lot to the S of them is public and no time restriction for parking, that's where I'll be dropping the rig.

Looking forward to the trip - whoever's trip leader if you wouldn't mind giving me a cell number so I can call with last minute issues, that would be great. john (at) warfordortho.com if you'd rather email it.

Thanks!

Drove both trails today, both are awesome and a lot of fun. Barbour Fork was much more challenging but nothing a 40 can't do with some driver skill and tires.

I did notice a lot of NO CAMPING signs, I am calling Clear Creek tomorrow to see if we can actually camp there or not. There are plenty of campsites, but there looks like a lot of FS Signage stating otherwise.

If camping is a no go, maybe we run both trails with Idaho Springs being the half-way meal stop. I ran both trails in about 3.5 hours solo... in the 100.

I'll PM you. If you are looking for a camping spot near Idaho Springs I've got one you're welcome to. ;)

Weather permitting (and differential install) I am hoping to make this run. Will be towing up and hopefully dropping the truck/trailer at the restaurant mentioned above. Hoping to spend the night in C-springs then dropping Mrs. off in Denver near 225 & 70 then heading toward Rollinsville Saturday morning. What should Denver traffic be like that time in the morning?

Looks like a post minimum or waiting for approval. Wanted to see if the Beau Jo's is the one at 74/73 area? Also should have an empty seat.
