If somebody wants to borrow my '71 '40 they are welcome to. I have a prior commitment on that date, but Charlotte loves to wheel.

Just might take you up on that offer Jeff. Time to complete the work on my '69 40 in time for this run is running low.

Would you guys mind a Georgia boy showing up for this ride? I spoke with Treeroot a week ago and I will be hanging out in the Boulder area soon where my son is moving to. Of course I can be talked into hanging out anywhere cruiser talk is spoken!I'm dragging my 40 out and will be heading to Moab for a Southern Boy gathering Oct 4th-17th!

Heading that direction in a month, need to start making plans if I'm pulling the 40 down there. Any definitive plan for the route/schedule?

We are looking at a few trails right now. Treeroot and I were brainstorming over the weekend about trails. We'll nail it down ASAP.

ASAP means something different at my age:D

You are always welcome to my friend! She has no major issues and has a really good CB.

Thanks for your generosity Jeff, but at last I'll need to pass. Too many things that need to be done at home before the first snow. Maybe someone else can enjoy the day in my place.

I think I have 3 from Colorado Lancruisers coming for the 40s only run. We'll probably camp out Friday and Saturday nights. Any ideas of where we may be heading? Here are some ideas I thought of...

Summit County: Swan Creek, Georgia Pass, St John, Deer Creek
Clear Creek County: Argentine Pass, Kingston Peak, McClellan Mountain
Lake County: Hagerman Pass
Chaffee County: Hancock Pass (Pomeroy Lake, Williams Pass), Tin Cup
Park County: Geneva Creek, Mosquito Pass, Red Cone, Webster Pass
Eagle County: Adams Lake Loop

I don't know what trails you guys normally run, or if you're tired of any of the ones listed. Just my 2 cents. Now I just need to make sure the clutch is working right :/

Whoops.... sorry Ken. I forgot we had that exchange. No way.... I'm good with a seat up front in that sweet ride. You've got that 40 so fancied up it will feel just like riding in my 100! However, I get nervous when I say "no" and you say "no means yes". It makes me feel dirty. No means no. This isn't a date, we're just friends. ;)

I have 2 requests...

1) Can you please remove the God-awful customized chrome name badge with the font that looks nothing like Toyota font?

2) Can I drive for a bit?

Thanks for offering up a seat. Looking forward to it!

If 1 is a deal breaker then you will have to find another ride, how else will I remember which is mine

Number 2 is fine dependent on how demanding you get :D
